Stoneware Mug
This large speckled stoneware cup by ceramicist Jacinthe Brind'Amour seeks to reproduce mineral textures of coarse and powdery rocks on objects as common as the everyday cup and bowl It's like having a piece of a hostile and moving nature in our homes, everyday. This is why each piece has a unique firing development, each was designed with a different batch of clay and the ceramicist creates her glazes so that each piece has its free will.

Jacinthe Brind’Amour has been designing, manufacturing and distributing a wide range of ceramic products since obtaining her diploma in Applied Arts and Crafts in Ceramics in 2008. Creating bowls, cups, vases, trays; always in an alternation of different inspirations and trends, she has never ceased her activities as a ceramicist since then, although she has had to reconcile this demanding job with that of the head of the family. She has also taught turning and shaping in several schools and now devotes herself to private teaching on firing and the creation of glazes in her small workshop in Montreal.
