From it’s inception, the overriding philosophy of Kiln Art has been rooted in the following principles: all designs are original, each piece looks hand made because it is, Sharon and Paul are committed to listening to their customers, every piece is signed, they stand behind their product and it’s quality 100%, and they ignore all suggestions of mass production!
Sharon had already been a seasoned ‘warm’ glass artist when the thought of fused glass dinnerware occurred to her in December of 1999 – It was with her good friend Paul, that she was inspired to use pulverized glass to create the images within the platters and bowls. Their pieces are dishwasher safe. There is nothing in the world like Kiln Art. Every piece is 100 per cent glass – no paint or glazes. If you are ever in Chester, NS, they would welcome a visit to their studio.
Care Instructions: not safe for microwave or oven, though dishwasher safe, hand washing is a good way to prolong the beauty of handmade pieces
