Tim Laurin Jewellery
Tim calls his collection of enamel jewellery "Contemporary Primitivism". Look at these gorgeous pieces with their dynamic colour variation, set on hand-cut copper blanks and see if you don't agree.
Once he cuts the shapes, Tim sifts the tiniest bit of powdered glass on the surface to create the color pattern. Time in the kiln fuses it, then layers are added till he achieves the desired surface treatment.
Tim graduated from Sheridan College, School of Design in Toronto, and later earned a graduate degree (MFA) from York University. He happily works out of his home studio in Peterborough, ON.
