Sasha the Czar

Sasha the Czar is the artistic expression of Heather Zondervan, co-owner of Styll. While it  started as a side hobby to create accessories for personal use, the jewellery quickly expanded to a full collection of necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings.  

What makes this jewellery unique is that Heather fabricates all the components individually out of stainless steel, using many of the tools used for the larger, home decor items.  Stainless steel is rarely hand-worked on this small scale. Unlike silver or pewter, this metal is very hard and cannot be easily cast or forged.   To enhance the rawness of the steel, Heather deliberately does not polish all irregularities out of the pieces. The result is a collection of jewelry with textured, organic lines juxtaposed with strong, metallic design. 

Combined with sterling silver chains and ear wires, this jewellery is virtually maintenance-free!
