Isabelle Huot
Isabelle Huot has a very unique style, that shows great skill. She works with porcelain clay, hand building many of her pieces, but creating them all with delicate edges and soft pastel glazes.
"I take inspiration for my ceramics from nature, from seeds, flowers, pearls and shells. I use a wheel and various hand building techniques as well as slip casting to make porcelain pieces that not only decorate your home but are functional as well.
I merge content to function by making visual links with nature. For example; I leave the imprint of an organic or geometric object to create the foot of the bowl. In addition, some of my works will remind you of a tulip, calla, shells, eggshells and mushrooms."
