Mushroom Tree, brick
This isn't like any Mushroom Tree that you have seen before! Mark's keen sense of balance and scale is evident in this striking sculpture. Twisted steel rods set in a sturdy concrete base, form the structure. Naturally tumbled/rounded bricks are pinned to the end of each branch - their weight can cause the flexible branch to slightly sway.....which is an interesting effect!
The base is 16" around, while the branches form an approx 30" diameter. The height is 58" to the tallest branch.
This sculptural piece has been deliberately 'pre-weathered' then sealed with an oil to protect. If used outdoors, the rust color will deepen to a tobacco brown tone. Some staining from the metal on the base and bricks should be expected. We recommend storing indoors for the winter to extend the life of the concrete.
