Pins & Needles Earrings, db

This pair of earrings is a great example of how every element is individually formed, no mass casting of parts.  Here Heather cuts and grinds lightweight stainless steel strips then hammers them for texture. For an added tactile element, she inserts a couple of tiny steel pins that move freely back and forth. The earrings are then polished to a bright stainless steel colouring and finished with an oxidized sterling silver ear wire.
