Have you used a French Butter Dish? This simple yet ingenious design allows you to have soft butter at room tempurature while keeping it fresh.
The two part dish has a cup as the lid (fill this with butter) and bowl to put an inch of water. When the butter is submerged in the water, it creates an airtight seal, protecting the butter. While the design is French, this dish is Canadian made, handcrafted in British Columbia.
