Glass Plater

Is it a plate or is it a painting? Both really, as this brilliant 12" diameter disc is a beautiful art piece as well as well as a functional serving platter.  The perfect place to display this piece is in a window sill or hung on a white wall, brightly lit, to allow the light to spill through all the colours.

Sharon creates this glass art by 'painting' with glass powder on a clear glass sheet. The glass is then carefully placed over a mould in a kiln, permanently fusing the glass and slumping it into the finished form.  As a result, no two pieces are alike. The image here is the actual piece we have in stock.  Sharon's signature is etched on the back to authenticate this original piece of art.
