All Fired Up
All Fired Up! is a small family-run ceramics business, based in Milton, ON. Founded in early 1984 by Lynne Carson and her sisters-in-law Teresa Beal and Deborah Carson. Eventually joined by Lynne’s husband, David, and Teresa’s husband, Alf. Although the artisan group is best known for their decorative switch plates, they also produce many other ceramic works. The most recent addition is the Cloquette, a small decorative desk clock. The product name plays off the words clock and coquette (they are very sexy!).
Self-taught ceramicists, they use a number of decorating techniques, some adapted from historical methods, others completely original, in order to translate their design vision onto the medium. The designs are inspired by nature and can be contemporary or traditional, but always functional. William Morris once suggested that one “Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.”
Care Instructions: Dust with a feather duster or a soft bristled paintbrush and use glass cleaner on a paper towel or soft cloth to erase fingerprints.
