Carpe Diem Pendant
Carpe Diem ~ Seize the Day
Handcrafted using a British wax seal from the 1800’s. Emblazoned on this crest pendant is a squirrel & 6 owls. The phrase “carpe diem” comes from the Roman poet Horace; it declares his Epicurean principles of zealous enjoyment and self-reliance in the face of an uncertain future. The motto has been blazoned on any number of coats of arms through the ages since.
Cast in sterling silver, this pendant is approximately 3/4" x 7/8" and includes an 18" oxidized sterling silver rolo chain. Every piece of Plum & Posey jewellery comes in a black velveteen drawstring bag and includes a small card describing the meaning.
