A full sized microwave will get your bulk corn popping in this sturdy vessel.  Holes in the lid vent away moisture and the substantial bowl will keep your kernels warm as you enjoy the snack.  But if you choose to use this dish for scalloped potatoes or blueberry crumble, that's okay too!  Wayne's pottery is a wonderful combination of enthusiastic glaze combinations and sturdy, highly functional forms. His life experience as a potter is clearly evident in this well-made dish.

Approx. 7 1/2" base diameter by 3 3/4" tall base, plus lid
Microwave and dishwasher safe, though hand wash recommended.

To make popcorn, place about a quarter cup of popcorn kernels into the bowl, add the lid and microwave on high.  A tablespoon of oil or butter can be added, but it will add to the popping time.  Depending on the power of your microwave, this could take 3 - 8 minutes.  List for the pops - when it is 2 seconds or more between pops, remove from microwave.  The bowl will be very warm, so have pot holders handy to remove the bowl.
